US: Honda to boost US Accord output

Less than a week after building the first production Civic sedan at its new Honda Manufacturing of Indiana plant in Greensburg, Honda’s US unit said it would begin production of V6 Accord sedans at its Alabama plant while increasing production of four-cylinder Accords at its original car production facility in Marysville, Ohio.

Ford tops in vehicle quality: GQRS

A recent study has indicated that Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles have statistically tied Toyota and Honda in terms of quality for the 2008 model year. The study, carried out by the U.S. Global Quality Research System (GQRS), says that the American automaker’s machines have continued with impressive quality gains for the fourth straight year, led by the F-Series super duty and the Lincoln Mark LT. The survey solicits input from owners of new vehicles after three months of service.

British Motor Show 2008

With the press preview day of the 105th British Motor Show now completed, the public show days start today and go on through August 3rd. Though not as grand as other international motor shows, there are still 60 vehicle manufacturers displaying more than 600 vehicle. Highlights include the Lotus Evora, Vauxhall Insignia, Honda OSM concept, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Seat Ibiza and the Lightning GT.
