The Verdict: Nissan's shot at the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit boasted surprising spaciousness and comfort -- and it looks reliable, too.
Price: There's no shortage of Versa models for sale in the used market, and pricing starts from about $6,000 for a higher-mileage, earlier unit. Expect a newer used Versa with very low mileage to cost as much as $16,000. However, plenty of selection is available for under $10,000.
What Owners Like: The Nissan Versa Hatchback earned praise for generous headroom and cargo capacity, easy entry and exit, decent performance, and plenty of space and flexibility for easy adaptability to a variety of tasks, trips and lifestyles. Many owners comment positively on the abundant at-hand storage, and even larger drivers find plenty of room.
What Owners Dislike: Simply, many owners wish their Versa Hatchback were sportier. Though performance was said to be decent, it wasn't exciting, and a numb steering feel and soft-set suspension didn't do the handling any favours, either.
