The recall covers F-250 and F-350 2008 trucks in total : 65,000

The heavy duty pickups have a flaw : the fuel tank . In a 30 mph front-end collision the fuel tank will move from its place causing the fuel to spill , this creates the danger of fire .

Ford will strengthen the tank mounting making the front-end crash more secure

The new VW Passat R36 – the price will start from £30,990 , the R36 means this is a hot car .

With a 3.6-litre V6 , 296bhp engine (0-60mph – 5.6 seconds) , four-wheel drive it was built to compete with the Mitsubishi Evo X.  It has a semi-automatic gearbox ,  a new front bumper , side skirts and twin exhausts. It is lower on the road and overall a more aggressive look .

With a price of aprox 22000£ this machine is a keeper . The new GTI has a 2.0L FSI turbocharged 227bhp engine that will do 0-60 m in 6.8 s. This car is expected this year , in June

The body has been modified to show the extra umf and 18inch alloy tires suplid by Pirelli where added . The new Golf GTI comes in three colors , blue , silver and black

This monster is expected in 2009 , it will not be as fast as the coupe version , but it will still go up to 217mph (limited) This limitation is because the chassis will not be as rigid as the coupe , and the Bugatti Veyron Targa will be a bit heavier
It will have a removable hard-top will cost 900,000£ . It will be packed with a 987bhp 6.0-L W16 engine.

While the original Bugatti Veyron was priced at £840,000 and 300 where built , the Targa model will be built in a limited amount : 80

The new M3 is powered by a 4.2L V8 engine with 420hp . In terms of gearbox , clients can choose from a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed M DCT gearbox. This car is also green , it will have low emissions says BMW

With a price of $19,625 the new Mazda 6 is a very expected car . The current Mazda 6 was sold in 57,575 units in 2007 so there are great expectations for the new car . It will only be available as a sedan and will be build in Flat Rock, Michigan plant. ( this plant also builds the Fort Mustang )

The 2009 Mazda 6 will have a more powerfull engine range with a 2.5l four-cylinder and a 3.7l V6 . The V6 is rated at 273 hp. Combined with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission and six-speed automatic gearbox for the V6 makes it a powerfull car .

Overall the New Mazda 6 will be  a bigger and more powerfull car

A new look for the A3 hatchback : New headlamps , new interior and overall a more dramatic look

Volkswagen announces free service program for 2009 cars

The new free service program will be launched on the Tiguan , the new VW crossover and will include a free check at 6000 miles (or 90 days) . The Routan (minivan) will have the same setup , but enhanced : it will have a free check every 6000 miles up to the 36,000-mile mark .

On the rest of the cars the free maintenance  will happen at 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 miles

This goes to show how much Volkswagen  trusts its cars .

FIAT has reached the lowest CO2 emission value in 2007 . Jato (a world leader in the automotive business) has confirmed that FIAT has overthrown larger brands in the emission department .

FIAT  scored a value of 137,3 g/km compared to the other brands : Peugeot (141.9 g/km), Citroen (142.2 g/km), Renault (146.4 g/km), Toyota (141.9 g/km), Ford (149.1 g/km), Opel (152.9 g/km), Volkswagen (161.7 g/km), BMW (176.7g/km) and Mercedes (188.4 g/km)

As we can all tell from this report , the small Fiat cars are pretty green . Also the executives of this company said that they are still working on getting the emissions even lower , the Eco Drive system developed with Microsoft will be the key to make the green greener

The Malibu LTZ will be equipped with a 2.4-liter Ecotec 169 hp engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. General Motors says the new engine will be economic , getting 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway

As we all know the Malibu hibrid has 24mpg/32mpg city/highway making the LTZ a very economic car

The four-cylinder Malibu  LTZ will have a base price of $26,245, including shipping .
GM made the decision to add a smaller engine on its top Chevy Maliby model to allow customers to buy a great car with a smaller more economic engine. The original Chevy Malibu LTZ had only the 3.6-liter V6 252 hp engine , but as always with great power comes great consumption

The warranty has been increased by 25,000 miles , on all the new manufactured gasoline engines after April 1. It now reaches three years or 100,000 miles.

Ford said that the prices will not be increased , the engines and transmissions will cost the same as before the increase in warranty. Previously they covered three years or 75,000 miles.
The diesel engines do not get the extended warranty , they remain with the two years unlimited mileage cover

The warranty on all Ford parts begins when the client actually buys the item , not when it is manufactured. It is a major boost in Ford’s image .

The Audi is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 common-rail diesel, the first V12 diesel in a sports car. The engine cranks out 500 hp and an astonishing 737 lb-ft of torque, the latter figure more than double that offered by the standard, gasoline-fueled R8–and it all comes between 1750 and 3000 rpm. Audi says the engine is based on the 5.5-liter, 650-hp powerplant used in its Le Mans-winning R10 racer. Audi also says its engine already fulfills the Euro 6 emissions standard likely to take effect in 2014.

The first thing you notice is how different it sounds from inside the cockpit, like the inside of a small jet–air rushing into the engine bay from the enlarged side vents.

Audi says there is a 50/50 chance that it will be built. The V12 powerplant is ready for production right now–it will be slipped into Audi’s Q7 SUV. To make the engine fit into the back of the R8, engineers had to move the firewall forward by six inches.

Audi estimates that a production version of this concept would get 25 mpg, while still making the run from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds and having a top speed of 200 mph.

Honda is moving ahead with plans to create its own Scion-like sub-brand, using the emerging Chinese market as the launching point for the new line of cars.

The Japanese company and its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Honda, revealed an unnamed concept at the Beijing motor show that company officials say will be the first production model from the new Honda division.

The car has a sporty three-door hatch, based on the global City/Fit small sedan/hatchback chassis (not the larger U.S.-model Fit), was designed and will be produced in China.

The production for the car begins in 2010, which will be strictly for the Chinese market, at least at the start of production. The new model will be powered by a 1.8-liter engine.

Pininfarina has created 3 new cars for the Chinese market. Their name is : the Brilliance Junjie station wagon and JAC’s A108 and A107. The cars will be unveiled at the Beijing motor show .

The Brilliance Junjie wagon is based on the Junjie sedan, which was also designed by Pininfarina. Their goal was to give her a sporty look, and it also features a smooth beltline and roof that blends into the back.

The A108 is a sedan that is a bit similar to a Dodge Neon. The A107 is its hatchback sibling. These 2 cars are the first to be produced since Pinifarina and JAC (formally called Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co.) began their partenership in 2005.

Known as BMW S1000 RR. it will be the pride of BMW . Only 1000 will be produced , and they will all worth the wait and price.
It is expected to have about 190hp and at  190 kg weight it will have a great ratio
