Subaru may not admit it, but you're likely looking at the next-generation Impreza, which will received the new "confidence in motion" design philosophy showcased on the Impreza Concept you see here. After a two year absence, the Dodge Durango is back, and while you may recognize the SUV proportions and crosshair grille, this is a very different vehicle than the truck that bowed out of the market in 2009. Most significantly, the Durango is now a unibody vehicle, rather than the body-on-frame truck it was previously. That has serious implications for the ride comfort, but passengers are just as likely to notice the more comfortable cabin that aims to erase memories of the last five years of Chrysler interiors. Since the 2011 Dodge Durango is an all-new vehicle, there's also fresh engineering or new features in every aspect of the car.
The exterior of the 2011 Chrysler 200 attempts to pull away from its Sebring predecessor. The sedan features a bigger grille is bigger and projector-style headlights that give the front a new angle, while the rear features a sleeker look with slimmer taillights and a fresh rear fascia. Even the Chrysler badging has taken a new direction. The 200 also has LEDs everywhere in an attempt to give it more class than the outgoing Sebring. LED taillights are joined by an LED high-mounted brakelight. In front, the 200 joins the LED light pipe party, with some LEDs around the headlights for extra style.
Although General Motors announced it was working on an updated mild-hybrid system for its midsize sedan models, the automaker had avoided answering which vehicle would first receive the new powertrain. The answer, it seems, is the 2012 Buick LaCrosse: GM revealed today its new eAssist system will become the entry-level powertrain offering next year.

Our 335is test car was a pre-production model and, although the Monroney listed cruise control and a two-way power glass moonroof and sliding interior sunshade as standard features, they were absent from our car. Presumably they will be present in any 335is coupe sold to a consumer. Our test example was alpine white over a coral red and black Dakota leather interior, a nice combination. This means red seats, red door inserts, but black dash and carpets, for practicality, and who wants red carpet anyway? Pebbly silver metal trim stretches across the width of the instrument panel and on the center console.
Cadillac could well be back on track to returning to its "Standard of the World" status after decades of struggle.
The U.S.-market 2011 Hyundai Elantra will be produced in Alabama. It'll be powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing some 148 horsepower (145 in California) and 131 pound-feet of torque (130 in California). Power will flow forth to a six-speed automatic gearbox with manual shifting capabilities or a six-speed manual before hitting the front wheels through a MacPherson strut suspension. The rear end will be held in place by a torsion beam design. Thanks to a slipper 0.28 drag coefficient, the new Elantra is rated at 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway regardless of transmission choice. And, of course, the sheet metal and interior are all new.
