After weeks of teasing, Kia is officially unveiling its much-anticipated Kia GT Concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The GT concept represents the Korean automaker's first attempt at designing a rear-drive car with show-stopping looks and a powerful V-6 for good measure.
Volkswagen is looking to get small - it has taken the wraps off of its all-new Up! city car before its official debut next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Previewed by the concept of the same name at the 2007 Frankfurt show, the Up! slots in at the bottom of VW's lineup - filling the hole left in 2005 by the Lupo - ready to take on the tight streets of European cities.
For all the hype surrounding the new Aventador LP 700-4, you might have forgotten that Lamborghini still builds the Gallardo supercar. There is now yet another variant of the Gallardo, baptized LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale and unveiled to the public at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car’s suffix succinctly explains its purpose: Super Trofeo refers to the one-make European racing series featuring the Lamborghini Gallardo, while Stradale is Italian for road. This car, then, is a road-going Gallardo inspired by the Super Trofeo race cars.
Aston Martin's sexy V12 Zagato has already wowed crowds at auto shows around the globe and endured the infamous Nuerburgring for 24 hours straight, but now it's ready to tackle a new venue: public roads. Aston confirmed long ago that the Zagato-bodied racer would spawn a road car, but announced today such a vehicle will be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
