Honda has revealed the rugged-looking Fit Twist crossover, built for the Brazilian market
The United States Bankruptcy Court in Delaware has granted A123 Systems' request for so called 'first day' enabling it to operate pending the recently announced sale of automotive assets to Johnson Controls.
Mitsubishi's Indian importer Hindustan Motors has reduced the price of the Pajero Sport SUV to INR2,256,000 (US$41,750) after local assembly began at the automaker's plant in Tiruvallur near Chennai. The price cut was INR187,000.
Nissan Americas vice chairman Bill Krueger has announced the addition of 810 new manufacturing jobs in Tennessee. The new jobs 'support' a recently added third shift at the Smyrna vehicle assembly plant: the first time the plant has had a third shift in its nearly 30-year history - it was the automaker's first US 'transplant'.
Federal-Mogul third quarter 2012 sales fell 2% year on year to US$1.6bn.

Infiniti has ended a feasibility study of third party manufacturing (by Magna Steyr) of a "a new compact premium vehicle" and said it was "moving ahead with plans" for a scheduled launch in 2015 of a model it would make "in-house" in an as yet unnamed European factory.
Ford called an emergency meeting with unions at its car plant in Genk, Belgium, amid mounting expectations that the automaker is preparing to close the factory.
Toyota will nearly double diesel engine production capacity at its Thai plant in Chonburi Province.
Fiat is dismissing reports it may increase production at its Melfi plant to cope with two unidentified mini-SUVs as "entirely without foundation."
India has become a vital hub in the One Ford strategy, providing an important export base for small cars and engines, the local unit's head said.
