Fiat Group has shelved the idea of closing its Mirafiori car plant in Turin and is considering producing two new SUVs at its factory in Melfi in southern Italy, an Italian daily newspaper said.
Fiat, due to unveil its revised industrial plan for Italy on 30 October, will keep its Mirafiori, Turin, plant open and increase production at its southern Melfi plant, Reuters reported.
