Russian automaker AvtoVAZ is jumping on the electric car bandwagon with the Lada Kalina EL, which will make its debut this week at the Moscow Auto Show.
For now it's just a concept, but with positive feedback from visitors, the Lada Kalina EL could begin testing as a taxicab on the streets of Stavropol.
The vehicle uses a 13 kWh battery pack to feed a 60 kW (82 hp) electric motor and allow a range of about 150 kilometres. A full charge takes up to eight hours.
The Lada Kalina EL sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 13 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130 km/h.
Further information on the car's equipment and global availability will be provided at the Moscow Auto Show.
Like last year, there will be just one DRS zone at Spa-Francorchamps for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Belgium.
Team Williams' engineer Xevi Pujolar, who works with Pastor Maldonado, wrote on his Twitter page (@xevipojolar) the information about the Drag Reduction System zone.
During the race, the DRS detection point (in blue on the illustration) will be located 235m before T2, and the activation zone (in green) will begin 270m after T4, on the main straight.
The Spanish engineer also indicated that the DRS will always be disabled for the treacherous Eau Rouge corner, between 200 and 1500m.
The official poster of the 2012 Paris Auto Show looks like the work of science fiction movie editors with its electric colours and night sky background.
The car's silhouette appears to be transforming and evolving right before our eyes. And although the slogan is the same as the 2010 edition's, Le Futur, Maintenant (the future, now) hints at the newest technologies in the auto industry.
The 2012 Paris Auto Show will take place from September 29th to October 14th at Porte de Versailles.

"It (the project) is all concentrated around the aerodynamics," he said.
"There is no greater element that influences the whole car. We need to improve the aerodynamics a lot," added Kovalainen.
Porsche factory driver Romain Dumas treated himself to a little fun on August 12, taking part in the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The Frenchman took many by surprise, winning the Open class with a time of 9min46.181 - a time good enough for second in the overall classification. Dumas was only beaten by American drift and rally specialist Rhys Millen aboard his Hyundai Genesis coupe.
