Ford forecasts a smaller loss at its European operations in 2013 after a better-than-expected second quarter. The automaker expects a $1.8 billion annual loss in Europe, lower than the $2 billion loss previously predicted.
Ford boosted its full-year outlook and posted a second-quarter profit that trounced expectations on stronger demand for its cars and trucks in the U.S., China and South America as well as a smaller-than-anticipated loss in Europe.
Toyota said its vehicle production subsidiary in Indonesia, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), is to start producing engines for vehicles other than the IMV series at a new engine plant due to go online in the first half of 2016.
