Carlos Tavares has lost little time in stamping his authority on PSA Peugeot-Citroën. While the appointment of Linda Jackson as CEO of Citroën is radical (though much deserved) the news that the acerbic, highly-talented Stephen Norman has come out of retirement to shake up the group's marketing divisions is one out of the left field.
Stephen Norman, a tough-talking Brit and fluent French speaker, who has previously worked for Renault and Fiat, has been appointed to a new role of senior vice president, group marketing coordination at PSA, effective from 12 May.
Only two automakers - Fiat and Renault - are organised in Brazil as PLC companies and therefore obligated by law to issue financial results yearly. The others are LLC companies with balance sheets consolidated by parent companies and are published at a regional level only.
Addressing the media at the UK market launch of the Macan, Porsche's manager of Product Operations James Eastwood claimed the SUV's bonnet to be the "largest single aluminium part on any production car".
