Auto sales in China are slowing and may fall for the first time in more than a decade, undercutting one of the few growth markets for carmakers such as General Motors and Ford Motor Co., according to a report released today by Alix Partners.
Chevrolet said its 2016 Volt plug-in hybrid vehicle will be available only in a few US states from autumn. The vehicle will be available in Michigan and other states as a 2017 model from next spring. Earlier, the company had announced wider availability.
Swedish supplier Autoliv and Japan's Nissin Kogyo will form a joint venture involving the companies' brake businesses. Autoliv will own 51 percent of the venture which is expected to be established next year.
