US vehicle safety regulators announced on Thursday (17 March) said 20 automakers have agreed to make automatic emergency braking standard on nearly all US vehicles by 2022, a move that could prevent thousands of rear-end crashes annually.

London tops the list for the most expensive parking spots in the country, with prices soaring above UK average house prices

In 2015, Skoda set new records both in terms of global vehicle sales and financial results. Deliveries increased 1.8% to 1,055,500 vehicles (2014: 1,037,200). The brand also achieved record sales revenue, up 6.2% to a new high of EUR12.5bn(US$14bn) (EUR11.8bn). Operating profit rose 12% to EUR915m (EUR817m). The automaker is planning further growth in 2016.

Pirelli said its 2015 operating performance was in line with targets after it booked revenue growth of 4.8% year on year to EUR6,309.6m (US$7078m), above the 2015 target of "over EUR6.25bn" thanks to the "great" improvement in the price/mix component (+7.1% compared to a target of "equal to or above" 5.5%) as a consequence of price increases, greater replacement sales and more diverse geographic and product mixes.
