Volvo's sales rose 11 percent in June as demand for the automaker's XC90 flagship SUV helped boost deliveries in the key U.S. and China markets. Six-month deliveries at the automaker also rose 11 percent.
Domestic sales among South Korea's five main automakers jumped by 28.7% to 161,061 units in June, from 125,173 units in the same month of last year, according to preliminary data released individually by the country's vehicle manufacturers.

Daimler AG's Supervisory Board has decided to add around EUR1.8bn to the company's pension assets. The pension contribution will be made in form of a transfer of the shares in Renault S.A. and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. to the pension assets of Daimler AG.
