Skoda brand bosses are considering more vRS models including hot versions of the Superb and Kodiaq.

Sales of Mercedes cars increased 11 percent in June as strong demand in Europe and China led rises in all the brand's major markets. Registrations were also boosted by robust SUV deliveries, which rose 43 percent last month.

The UK new car market grew by a steady 3.2% in the first six months of the year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). 1,420,636 new cars have been registered so far in 2016 - the best half-year performance ever recorded.
