Ander Villarino clinches his second consecutive title in the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries after the final rounds presented at Le Mans.
Frederic Gabillon had no rivals on Saturday, in the first Elite race of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Le Mans Finals at the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans. The Frenchman took a lights to flag victory and won his third race of the season, reducing the points gap from Ander Vilarino, who got involved in a contact at the start.
Ander Vilarino could have lived a nightmare sunday, but he managed to win his second consecutive title in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Although he was pushed and span in the last lap of the decisive race at the Bugatti Circuit, the Spaniard reached a 4th place that was enough to preserve a 4-points adavantage over Frederic Gabillon. The Frenchman closed a perfect week-end with a his fourth win of the season.
