Volkswagen's first fully electric car, the e-Golf, will make its North American debut next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Available exclusively in five-door configuration, the VW e-Golf visually stands out from the regular Golf with uniquely styled aluminum wheels and standard LED headlights (a first for the company).
Under the hood is an electric motor that produces 115 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque, sending the e-Golf from 0-100 km/h in less than 11 seconds. Top speed is rated at 140 km/h.
The Volkswagen e-Golf is scheduled to go on sale in late 2014.
