Margot Laffite, daughter of former Formula 1 driver Jacques Laffite was injured in an accident during a practice session for the opening round of this year's Andros Trophy ice racing series in Val Thorens, France.
An experienced racer, Margot Laffite was to share the wheel of Citroen DS3 with Olivier Pernaut this weekend. But late afternoon Friday, her car hit a snow bank at speed.
The impact was hard enough to fracture her second cervical vertebrae. She was immediately taken to hospital and the doctors told the official Andros Trophy organisers that the 33-year-old Margot was feeling fine and she will fully recover from her injury.
