Infiniti reportedly wants to develop its own performance lineup to rival BMW's M cars and Mercedes' AMG models. And instead of using IPL (Infiniti Performance Line) or Eau Rouge like in the past, the brand would like to use the Red Bull Racing name.
Andreas Sigl, the leading man behind Infiniti's groundbreaking partnership with the Red Bull Racing F1 team, told AOL Cars: "If you ask me, every Infiniti should have an element of performance in it. It should be throughout the range, and the Eau Rouge Q50 we are developing is an important step towards that.''
The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept is a 550-horsepower AWD sedan.
Sigl also hinted at other high-performance models including a variant of the forthcoming Q30.
