US: GM global sales down 1% to 7.2m so far this year

General Motors sold 7.2m vehicles globally in the first nine months of 2015, down 1.3% on last year's tally for the same period. The overall slight decline came in spite of increases in four of its five largest markets, with record sales in China and strong retail sales gains in the US.
