Distance, not speed, was the goal this weekend on the track at the 2009 Shell Eco-marathon Americas, an event held at the Auto Club Speedway in Southern California on April 15-18, 2009. In this challenge, University and High School students design, build and test fuel-efficient vehicles that travel the farthest distance using the least amount of fuel.
