Garett Grist will be part of the world-renowned Formula Ford Festival at Brand Hatch, UK as the 2012 Team Canada Scholarship winner.
The Team Canada Scholarship committee announced that Grist was the 2012 winner of the prestigious Canadian racing scholarship.
The up-and-coming young driver from Grimsby will represent Canada at the 41st running of the prestigious Formula Ford Festival in Great Britain.
Grist will be driving a Cliff Dempsey Racing prepared Ray FF1600 and will go head-to-head against the best Kent-powered F1600 racers in the world during the famous Formula Ford Festival on October 27-28.
Grist becomes the second-ever winner of the Team Canada Scholarship, following a good season in the competitive F1600 Formula F Championship Series. Grist is currently fourth in the standings, with three podium visits as a rookie driving for series newcomers Bryan Herta Autosport.
