Following an official inspection after last weekend's IZOD IndyCar event at the Texas Motor Speedway, Team Penske has been fined and docked points after it was discovered that the car did not comply with regulation.
According to reports, Helio Castroneves' car did not comply with the rule that specifies the height of the underwing(?) exit.
As a result, the Penske outfit was fined $35,000 and docked 15 points.
The fine comes exactly one year after last year's winner in Texas, Justin Wilson, was also docked five championship points. In the same event, Dale Coyne Racing was fined $7,000 for using a sidepod mounted aero device, which had been banned prior to that race.
Castroneves is the current series leader with a 22-point advantage over Marco Andretti.
