Lisa Blumenthal, who lives in the Back Bay district of Boston, recently paid a whopping $560,000 for the exclusive rights to two parking spaces near her house. These spots belonged to a man who owed the IRS for unpaid tax.
Parking is an extremely rare commodity in Boston, but Mrs. Blumenthal probably didn't expect to pay that much. How considerate for her distinguished guests and occasional repairmen!
