The 2012/2013 season of the Andros Trophy ice racing series held in France will kick off this weekend at Val Thorens. Here is the entry list of the two mains categories : the Silhouette (powered by thermal engines) and the Androscar electric.
It is interesting to note that two of last year's bigger teams -- Skoda France and Dacia -- are not back this season. This means that some big stars of the Trophy, such as Alain Prost, Jacques Villeneuve, Franck Lagorce, Nicolas Prost and others will not be competing this year.
The Andros Trophy will likely feature smaller, private teams that have access to limited financial and technical ressources, which is a very good thing for the sport.
