Auto suppliers to get $3.5 billion in federal aid, not $5 billion

The U.S. Treasury said today that Chrysler LLC and General Motors have launched supplier support programs backed by U.S. government funds. The programs will guarantee receivables owed to the auto parts suppliers for any goods shipped after March 19. Full story...
