Cadillac is reportedly working on some logo upgrades, and we might see the result on a new concept vehicle the company plans to unveil at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance next month.
The new logo won't appear on a production model until 2015, however.
No changes have been made to the emblem since 1999, and feedback from potential customers now suggests that the wreath is seen as “outdated and obsolete.” That's not good considering that Cadillac is trying to attract younger buyers.
In 111 years of Cadillac sales, the logo has received nearly 40 modifications. It was originally inspired by the historic family coat of arms of Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, the founder of Detroit and namesake of the brand.
