Infiniti's Q50 Eau Rouge concept, which premiered this morning at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, expresses the brand's design vision of a high-performance premium sports sedan. Featuring an aerodynamically shaped carbon fibre body, the car is heavily inspired from Formula 1 through the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team.
While he didn't specify the engine under the hood of the Q50 Eau Rouge concept, Infiniti president Johan de Nysschen told journalists that he would expect a production version to generate over 500 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
Every exterior panel is bespoke to the Q50 Eau Rouge concept (including the custom red paint) save for the front doors and the arch of the roof pillars, which were retained as standard components. The 21'' forged alloy wheels partially hide red brake callipers and sit under flared fenders.
