Lewis Hamilton reflected on his recent win in the 2014 F1 world championship at the FIA's prize-giving gala, Friday in Qatar.
The fact that both of his world titles where won in the very last race was brought up during the ceremony's press conference, and Hamilton revealed that he has no problem fighting for his wins.
"I don't think you ever want to have it easy," he declared.
"You always want to have a fight. Easy championships, I don't know, they're just not as... you want that climax."
In fact, his season-long fight with Nico Rosberg kept him motivated.
"Throughout the whole year, just trying to keep your cool, stay focused and all those kinds of things. It was great."
And he vowed to fight just as hard in the future: "For the next one - if there is another one - at least in the championships I'm going into I want to fight as high as possible and try to work on and improve on the things that are not strong enough and could be better."
