After being struck down by a nasty intestinal infection at the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia, Marussia F1 Team driver Timo Glock is back on the road to recovery.
“Generally I am feeling much better. I still feel a little weak in the legs, but otherwise I am okay,” Glock said in a news feature posted on the Marussia F1 Team's web site Thursday.
"It was obviously very disappointing that I was forced to miss the race in Valencia, but that is the way it goes sometimes. You cannot just ignore the symptoms I was experiencing. I am now on my way to a full recovery, although it will be a few more days before I am allowed to train again,” the German driver added.
"I am now looking forward to the forthcoming weeks. Included on the programme is my home race with my Marussia F1 Team, which means it will be a busy and demanding period with lots of events and activities. However, by then I should be totally fit again."
Glock is now looking forward to the Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone next weekend.
