Canadian driver Gianmarco Raimondo, who led F3 Open championship before the last rounds of the season in Barcelona this weekend, was finally beaten to the title by his teammate Niccolo Schiro.
Raimondo's teammate at Team RP Niccolo Schiro made up ground on his during the Monza meeting, the penultimate roun dof the season. With just one race to go, Raimondo, from Toronto, enjoyte a 40-point advantage.
Raimondo had a tough week end in Barcelona : he was fourth in race 1, and lost more points over Schiro who secured 2nd position.
The Canadian driver lost all chanced to clinch championship in race 2, as he was hit at the start, breaking his suspension. He was forced to retire. Meanwhile, Schiro finsihed in 4th position, and clinched the title.
Facu Regalia won both races in Barcelona.
