The French manufacturer announced today that Patrick Pelata, 56, will leave the Renault-Nissan alliance group next month.
"Patrick Pelata is leaving the company. He has decided to pursue his career outside the alliance", a Renault spokeswoman told Reuters, confirming industry rumours.
Mr. Pelata, who joined Renault in 1984 stepped down as COO in April, 2011. As the former right-hand man of Renault-Nissan CEO, Carlos Ghosn, Pelata paid the price of a botched espionage investigation, first revealed in January, 2011.
