Transmission issues have led General Motors of Canada to recall 1,275 vehicles from 2013. Affected models include the Buick LaCrosse sedan and Cadillac SRX crossover.
In some cases, the transmission can unexpectedly shift from manual mode to automatic mode. If the driver is slowing the car using the manual mode to achieve engine braking, that function would be cancelled without warning. Of course, this could increase the risk of a crash.
As a result, GM dealers will reprogram the transmission control module.
