Foxconn, which manufactures iPhone products for Apple, wants to expand its foray into the car industry by launching an electric vehicle that would sell for $15,000 or less.
The company is not joking around, having recently invested more than $800 million to build several plants in China, where it already produces smartphones.
Foxconn currently supplies battery systems for electric vehicles sold in China.
