ITALY: Fiat confirms R$3bn for new Brazilian plant

Fiat has finally confirmed officially it will spend R$3bn (about EUR1.3bn) to construct a new plant in the port and industrial district in Suape in the state of Pernambuco. This investment forms part of the R$10bn (EUR4.4bn) that Fiat had already planned to invest in Brazil between 2011 and 2014 (including R$7bn in Minas Gerais). Full story...
