A potential failure of the stop lamp switch, which can cause intermittent operation of the brake lights, has led Kia Canada and Hyundai Canada to recall 39,054 and 110,104 vehicles, respectively.
If the brake lights don't work properly when the brake pedal is depressed, the risk of a collision increases. Therefore, Kia and Hyundai dealers will replace the switch.

- 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 Tucson
- 2006-2008 Tiburon
- 2007-2009 Azera
- 2007-2010 Sonata
- 2007-2010 Entourage
- 2009-2011 Genesis Coupe

- 2009-2011 Veracruz
