After initially forbidding Tesla from selling cars directly to consumers, the state of New Jersey has just passed a new bill in favour of the electric car maker.
The Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee unanimously allowed Tesla to start selling cars through its two existing outlets in New Jersey, and even gave them permission to open two more.
The bill isn't limited to Tesla, mind you; it also applies to all zero-emission vehicle makers, giving them the right to open up to four showrooms in New Jersey.
Will other U.S. states opposed to Tesla's business model follow the lead?
