Kongsberg Automotive has been awarded a 10 year agreement with a European premium automaker for the global supply of front seat heating and ventilation for mid-size luxury vehicles. The contract is worth an estimated EUR76.2m (US$86.6m) over its lifetime, and production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2018 in Pruszkow, Poland.

Automakers will build about 1.8 million cars in 2017 in the UK, less than the 1.95 million originally expected, due to more sluggish growth in Europe, an industry body said.
VW Group said it will reduce investment spending at the VW brand by $1.1 billion a year, switch to a different diesel emissions treatment technology and launch an all-electric Phaeton sedan as the flagship for a new focus on electrification.
