NORWAY: Kongsberg wins US$86.6m seat heat and seat ventilation contract

Kongsberg Automotive has been awarded a 10 year agreement with a European premium automaker for the global supply of front seat heating and ventilation for mid-size luxury vehicles. The contract is worth an estimated EUR76.2m (US$86.6m) over its lifetime, and production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2018 in Pruszkow, Poland.

Former Volkswagen Group CEO Martin Winterkorn, who quit last month, will step down from his remaining posts related to the company, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper and TV stations NDR and WDR reported, without citing sources. The resignations are expected in the coming days, as soon as a few remaining formalities have been dealt with, they said, according to Reuters.
