Changes to European emissions tests in the wake of the VW cheating scandal should not be overly tough or diesel vehicles will become so expensive that automakers have to stop selling them, industry association ACEA said.

China's quality watchdog said it was "highly concerned" about manipulated software in VW Group diesel cars designed to trick emissions tests and would take appropriate follow-up measures.
