2010 Hyundai Tucson - Hyundai Crossover SUV Review - Automobile Magazine
The laggard gets a boost.

The wretched economy of the past year has been a boon to Hyundai, which enjoyed its biggest-ever market share in 2009. Hyundai's Tucson, though, has been a laggard: fewer than one-tenth as many have been sold as the segment-leading Honda CR-V. The redesigned, 2010 Tucson should fare better. First of all, it has shed the stubby look of its predecessor. The new car is lower, wider, and longer but is about fifty pounds lighter.inline_mediumwraptextright32138784/reviews/driven/1003_2010_hyundai_tucson1003_01_z+2010_hyundai_tucson+front_three_quarter_view.jpgTrue

2011 Hyundai Sonata - Hyundai Midsize Sedan Review - Automobile Magazine
A good bet.

With eight different model lines, one might hesitate to single out Hyundai's most important car. President and CEO John Krafcik, though, does not. "Sonata is the brand for Hyundai," he says. That explains why, for the new 2011 Sonata, Hyundai is spending twice what it did to launch the Genesis -- which was the brand's first-ever luxury offering and first-ever rear-wheel-drive car. Hyundai is betting heavily on this car, and the wager is likely to pay off. The new Sonata is at or near the top of its hyper-competitive class in a broad range of categories -- some you might expect (low price, fuel economy, light weight) and some you might not (power, torque, interior space, and driving dynamics).inline_mediumwraptextright32348628/reviews/driven/1002_2011_hyundai_sonata1002_01_z+2011_hyundai_sonata+front_three_quarter_view.jpgTrue
