Data released by LMC Automotive shows that the West European car market grew by 9.1%, year on year (YoY), in April. The selling rate for the region picked up from 14.1m units a year in March to 14.4m units a year in April.

US brewer places big order for electric trucks

Hydrogen-electric powered semi-truck start-up Nikola Motor Company has announced that brewer Anheuser-Busch (the maker of Budweiser beer), has placed an order for up to 800 of its trucks. Nikola says it will start delivering the trucks to the company's distribution arm in 2020, and that it will show off a final production version of the truck at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show.
