A Maserati 300S Sports Racing Spider from the 1950s will be auctioned off by Bonhams this summer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K.
This particular 300S (chassis number 3053) is the third unit ever produced. It was originally commissioned by American car collector Briggs Swift Cunningham for his race car-driving friend Bill Spear. The latter teamed up with Sherwood Johnston to earn a third-place finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1955.
According to Bonhams, it's extremely rare for such a car to enter a public auction. Time will tell just how much it can fetch.
