From October 31st to November 3rd in Charlotte, North Carolina, RK Motors Collector Car Auctions will sell over 40 exceptional cars including three rare Mercedes-Benz models.

The first is a 1995 Mercedes-Benz Lotec C1000 commissioned by a United Arab Emirates-based businessman who dreamed of owning the world's fastest street-legal car. It boasts a 5.6L V8 engine with twin Garrett turbochargers generating 1,000 horsepower, achieving 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, and a top speed of 268 mph (431 km/h).

Next is a 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster, which traces its roots to the purpose-built, FIA GT-champion racing machine of the late 1990s. Required to build an FIA-mandated 25 road versions of their CLK GTR race car, Mercedes-Benz and AMG specialist group H.W.A made a total of 26 CLK GTRs, including six roadsters. This one (chassis #3) has just 71 original miles (114 km), and uses a 6.9L V12 engine rated at 604 horsepower.

Last, but not least, is a 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing that was imported to Canada by Leopold Poldi Bentley, who helped build the brand in Western Canada. It was sold in 1956, and remained in that owner's possession for 50 years before being restored by Rudi and Company in Vancouver. This 300 SL Gullwing has only 45,687 original miles (73 526 km) on its odometer.
