Wolfgang Duerheimer, the ex-Porsche product meister who took over as CEO of Bentley Motors last month, says his first task is to get annual global sales back to their record level of 10,000 vehicles.
Last month, Bentley set a new world speed record on ice with the all-new Continental Supersports convertible. To celebrate the exploit (overshadowed by Audi soon after), the automaker announced the production of 100 units of the machine.
The world record for fastest car on ice (330.695 km/h) set by the Bentley Continental Supersports didn't last very long. On March 6, Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian reached a top speed of 331.610 km/h on the Gulf of Bothnia in Oulu, Finland.
