Hiroyuki Matsumoto has been named vice president and general manager of Mazda's European research and development centre in Oberursel, Germany. Adding to the very important qualifying session for the Indy 500, NASCAR will host its popular All-Star race in Charlotte, North Carolina. The American Le Mans Series will share the Laguna Seca track with the Star Mazda Series. The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship will race alongside the World Challenge Series in yet another charged week-end in Mosport, Ontario.
