2010 Aston Martin Rapide - Aston Martin Luxury Sedan Review - Automobile Magazine
Revenge is a dish best served beautifully.

It’s bound to happen. Somewhere at Porsche’s headquarters in Zuffenhausen, a secretary will sign the DHL delivery slip for an enormous crate sitting in the parking lot. When a crew of overall-clad Porsche workers finally dismantles the box, the gift inside will be revealed: a 2010 Aston Martin Rapide with a pretty red bow on the windshield and a teensy, handwritten card that says, “Now zis is how you build a four-door, suckers. —Bez.”inline_mediumwraptextright26780900/reviews/driven/1002_2010_aston_martin_rapide1002_03_z+2010_aston_martin_rapide+side_view.jpgTrue

Driven: 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia
2010 Ferrari 458 Italia - Ferrari Sport Coupe Review - Automobile Magazine
With its all-new 458 Italia, Ferrari takes the mid-engine exotic game to an even higher level.

There didn't seem to be a lot more that Ferrari could do with its V-8 berlinetta lineup. Over the past decade, the cars got better and better, further cementing Ferrari's role as the producer of the world's most desirable sports cars. The startlingly good 360 Modena began it all back in 1999, and each successive iteration of the mid-engine masterpiece from Maranello raised the bar: The 360 Challenge Stradale. The F430. The 430 Scuderia. And, most recently, the hyperfocused Scuderia Spider 16M. These cars became the backbone of Ferrari's resurgence by translating the automaker's hard-fought Formula 1 racing expertise into products that tantalized auto enthusiasts everywhere, rewarded the lucky few who owned them, and strengthened the ethereal aura around the brand. Ferrari created the gold standard in sports cars, a lineup that competitors as varied as the Ford GT, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Porsche 911 GT3, and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage sought to assail. But in the tussle for sports car supremacy, Ferrari always managed to end up at the top of the heap.inline_mediumwraptextright32007216/reviews/driven/1002_2010_ferrari_458_italia1002_01_z+2010_ferrari_458_italia+front_three_quarter_view.jpgTrue

I fully admit that I was one of the people who didn't think that an SUV from Porsche would sell. Seriously, would the same people that want prestige, design and speed really want to be driving a big SUV? I don't think I have ever been more wrong! Full story...

Automobile Magazine compares the BMW 760Li, Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and Porsche Panamera Turbo luxury sedans. Jason Cammisa explains the personality of each car and chooses the winner.

The history books would have you believe that the West was once a wild place. But if you're braving the sweltering California desert and happen upon a little town called Palm Springs, you'd never know it. The dusty bandits, merciless bounty hunters, and untamed renegades are long gone, replaced by air-conditioned cafés, opulent galleries, and swanky day spas. The only weapons in use are those rumbling under the hoods of the many exotic and classic cars cruising the boulevard. The desert people clearly favor Cadillacs over Caterhams, though - luxury rules the West now.inline_mediumwraptextright31921479/reviews/driven/1001_2010_bmw_760li_mercedes_benz_s63_amg_porsche_panamera_turbo_video1002_02_z+2010_mercedes-Benz_s63_aMG_bMW_760Li+porsche_panamera_turbo.jpgTrue

Three $135,000 German renegades attack the formerly Wild West with 500 horses apiece. One is saintlike in its goodness, one is bad to the bone, and one isn't pretty but is blindingly fast.

EDITOR WES RAYNAL: Simply a joy to drive. I've said this 58,490,358,903,458,390 times, but it remains true: No other car gives the tactile sensations, the driving pureness, that a Porsche does, and a 911 is perhaps the best example of that. Full story...

A rally-racing Cayenne? Porsche factory driver Carles Celma is making a convincing argument for it, a twenty-foot rooster tail of shredded earth spewing from the rear tires as he power-slides down a straightaway.

A rally-racing Cayenne? Porsche factory driver Carles Celma is making a convincing argument for it, a twenty-foot rooster tail of shredded earth spewing from the rear tires as he power-slides down a straightaway. There's a hard, fast left ahead; the Spaniard left-foot brakes and-magically-the SUV transfers its two-and-a-half tons, sliding just short of a precipice that drops 100 feet into a valley. Celma sends the Cayenne bucking through a dry, sandy wash and then aims the vehicle down a narrow dirt track, blurred tree branches slapping hard at the windows.
