Press Release Source: Volvo (UK) Team Manager T-shirt for the little boss at home now in stores Volvo has started off this year's racing season in the Swedish Touring Car Championship with a bang - pole position in all races and several victories. Volvo has also introduced a new colour theme for this year's team equipment and clothing to match the green DRIVe technology on the racing car. A new green theme racing collection has now landed in stores with everything from caps, lanyards and polo shirts to genuine team shirts and team jackets. However, Volvo's Motorsport department is most proud of the new Team Manager T-shirt for children. "Little bit of a gem in the collection as it engaged the whole racing team. With several of us, from our driver Robert Dahlgren and his engineer to our main chef, becoming dads recently, developing the kids T-shirt quickly evolved to become just as advanced engineering as when we develop our racing car" says Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin, Commercial Director for Motorsport at Volvo. The result of this advanced engineering exercise with the racing team became a T-shirt made of the softest Full story...

Review: 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M
2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M - Ferrari Exotic Sport Convertible Review - Automobile Magazine
Think the yellow paint scheme is loud? Wait until you hear the Scuderia Spider 16M at full-throttle...

Your retinas may be reeling from the visual assault of the blinding yellow Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, but that optical barrage doesn't pack half the wallop this Italian inflicts on your cochlea. There is nothing graceful, respectful, or restrained about the Ferrari's exhaust note. In response to any quick stab of the aluminum accelerator pedal, the engine-control computer tells valves in the exhaust to bypass the mufflers. I call those baffles valvole di vaffanculo, because to open them is to raise an acoustic middle finger to anyone within earshot. (Valvole in Italian means valve. Vaffanculo, if you have never watched The Sopranos, is Italy's favorite NC-17 way of telling you to go fly a kite.) Luckily, the 503 rambunctious horses under the glass cover provide sufficient thrust to make the car disappear in an invisible cloud of hydrocarbons before anyone has the chance to flip the bird back at you.

US: Camry nudges out Silverado in US top model race

Stay connected Subscribe to our RSS feed
While most analysts and industry observers will focus on the lessening year on year plunges in US sales recorded last month (especially by a certain Detroit brand with a blue oval on the building), there was a small but significant change in an important pecking order - Chevrolet's Silverado truck line was nudged back to third highest selling US market vehicle (year to date) by Toyota's Camry sedan, itself kept out of the top slot by 29,390 units of that perennial top dog - Ford's F-series truck line. AMG Driving Academy: The Nurburgring
AMG Driving Academy at Nurburgring - Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG - Automobile Magazine
We came to conquer the Green Hell - a racetrack so dangerous, only precious few races are run there.

The AMG Driving Academy at the Nürburgring is a trifecta of automotive scholarly brilliance: there are cars and then there are AMGs; there are tracks and then there's the Nürburgring, and there are schools, and then there's the AMG Driving Academy. But I'm not yet aware of this as my shuttle picks me up from the Frankfurt airport. As we get closer to the famed 'Ring, Porsche after tuned Porsche drives by in the other direction, a gaggle of Nissan Skylines buzz past us, wastegates whistling. An old bi-plane flies by, doing loop-de-loops in the sky above us into the sunset. I smile as I realize that I'm at Ground Zero in the promised land of engine-powered mayhem.

2009 Mazda MX-5 GT PRHT Review (video)

It has to be admitted: I have an abnormal love affair with the Mazda MX-5. Not for the convertible roof, long history or even the stand-out (albeit bubbly) styling. Beauty is on the inside, they say. And boy, is it ever. In many regards, this is a perfect sports car: very fun to drive, very easy on fuel, quick, nimble and racetrack-ready. Full story...
