In terms of safe and enjoyable speed, there is no finer ride than a Honda with a capital S somewhere in its name. You get a wild engine that revs to the stars, a shifter/clutch combo that's a joy to exercise, and a stylish yet functional interior and exterior. Consumption of precious natural resources and environmental impact are both modest in every version of the Honda Civic. The only detail I'd change is a location swap between the speedometer and the tachometer to give the rev counter the top billing it deserves. There exists no conceivable occasion for which the standard BMW 750Li's 400 hp is insufficient. With two turbochargers strapped on presumably just for fun, its V-8 produces so much grunt that only someone afflicted with a congenital cognitive defect would require more power.

Having just spent the week on vacation, I arrived at Detroit Metro airport to find the new 2010 Jaguar XKR Coupe waiting for me. How lucky we are. The rear hatch area is surprisingly spacious, easily accommodating three pieces of luggage: one large bag and two carry-on pieces. Once inside the car, you can see the new "JaguarDrive Selector" that was adopted from the XF for 2010. As you would expect from Jaguar, the front seats are very comfortable and offer electric bolster adjustments that can be operated by a button on the interior door panel. The Mini Cooper Clubman is the epitome of a niche vehicle. As such, it's a car that works for some but will leave many people cold. For my part, I think it's pretty cool, but I'd have to think long and hard before I made it my primary vehicle. Of course, it's far more practical than the regular Mini Cooper, thanks to the passenger's-side half-door (a feature we've already seen in the Saturn Ion and the Mazda RX-8) and the extended wheelbase, which translates into significantly more rear-seat room and cargo space than the regular Mini. Lexus does a superb job of designing steering wheels. The wood used on the RX350's wheel feels luxurious and gives the impression that the vehicle is very substantial and smooth. It feels as if it were taken out of an LS460 and all of the positive tactile sensations came along with it.
