2008 Volkswagen Rabbit S
2008 Volkswagen Rabbit S - Volkswagen Golf Sport Hatchback Review - Automobile Magazine
You can toss it into turns at sporting speeds, and come out the other end with a roar.

I only drove the Rabbit briefly, but my overwhelming impression is that it oozes quality and refinement for an $18,000 car. There is nothing about it that feels cheap, from the nicely damped exterior door handles to the typically well-crafted VW interior, with its great seats, to the smooth and refined 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. There's nice steering feel and a supple ride, and I didn't even mind that the inline-five, which at 170 hp provides plenty of power, was hooked to an automatic transmission, since it's a six-speed unit that's well mated to the engine. If it were me, though, I'd opt for the five-speed manual and use the thousand-dollar savings toward a four-door Rabbit, which has a base price of $17,485. Still, if you're looking to get into a high-quality small car, the two-door Rabbit with a five-speed manual, starting at $15,490, is a very attractive proposition. And heated seats are only a $225 option!

Audi Q5 – what happened ?

Stay connected Subscribe to our RSS feed

It is called the Audi Q5 . Q7’s little brother , and at a first glance it looks great. It was designed to fight the BMW X3 and Land Rover Freelander 2 and it seems they have something to worry about , the audi quattro four-wheel-drive system is something they do now have

Audi Q5 measures 4,63 metres, it is longer than the 2 but in the boot area the Audi Q5 is between his rivals , it has a 540-litre boot smaller than the Freelander2(755l) but bigger than the BMW X3(480l) also it can triple if the rear seats are folded. Boot space increases to 1,560l

Audi says that the car is very safe to drive , also the driver can tune the suspension on the go

The engine comes in 3 versions :

  • The 2.0-litre T FSI with 208bhp and 350Nm of torque, – 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds with 27.6mpg.
  • The 168bhp 2.0 TDI with 35.1mpg
  • The 236bhp 3.0 TDI with 30.5mpg –  0-62mph in 6.5 seconds.

The price will start from £30,000 for the entry level model , about the high end models we do not know anything yet. All models will have a quality interior , wood , aluminium ,chrome and leather.
The gearbox will be a conventional six-speed manual and a seven-speed twin-clutch S on the 2.0T FSI and the 3.0 TDI versions. They will make a great team with the all-wheel drive audi feature
