When has a Volvo ever sparked such a firestorm of attention? In one quick stop at a gas station, I was drawn into two separate conversations about the C30 T5 R-Design. The first gent led off with the usual, "how do you like C30?" The second fellow launched by informing me of his wife's desire to own a C30. Thanks to the tremendous appeal of Volvo's youth-oriented hatch, my quick hit of fuel became a rather protracted social event.

Volvo has just announced that they'll team up with a world-famous Swedish glassworks company to work on part of a new concept car. Orrefors will work with Volvo to design a floating centre-stack constructed of hand-made crystal, which will be part of a concept shown at the Detroit international motor show in January. Although the details on all prices for the Volvo XC60 will be announced at the British Motor Show next month we can say this

• The entry-level XC60 will start from £24,750
• The SE XC60 will start from £26,250
• The SE Lux XC60 will start from £28,750.

This is a very good SUV and many are expecting it , it is a long way untill this will reach the dealers (October)
All versions of Volvo XC60 will have two engine versions, the 161 bhp D5 turbodiesel and the 182bhp D5 turbodiesel . The SE versions will have aso a 281 bhp petrol engine

The Special models will have extra comfort , MP3 stereo , climate control 17inch alloy wheels , HDC ( Hill Descent Control) . The SE Lux version will have the parking sensors and the 18 inch alloy wheels
