Acura is working hard on its brand, its image, and primarily its product. Currently, its lineup features six vehicles, most of which fall short of expectations.
The arrival of the ILX last year and a much-revised TL shortly before has squeezed the TSX into a corner, and its place in Honda's luxury division is highly questionable. Throw in the new slightly larger RLX and Acura has four cars that are practically stepping on each other's toes.
These details, and the fact that the platform on which it is based is getting on in age and is likely to be replaced with something larger in the future, leaves little room for the next TSX.
Sadly, the 1st generation TSX was a fabulous car, but that may be its only claim to fame.
